Celebrate Our Beautiful Community

2016-GreenUp-Flier-012216

This Saturday, all are welcome to come together with others in the community to help keep The Woodlands clean and free of litter. Afterwards, enjoy a great party at Northshore Park and celebrate the sixth anniversary of a very important event!

This year’s Earth Day GreenUp is part of Texas’ signature event for the Great American Cleanup — the Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-off! Connect with neighbors and the outdoors by joining or leading a cleanup crew bagging trash from the streets, pathways and streams.

Note: Online pre-registration for cleanup volunteers is closed but walk-ups are welcome Saturday morning! Check-in from 8-10 a.m. Saturday morning  at a designated village park.

Following the cleanup, the entire community is invited to celebrate at Northshore Park with entertainment, food, fun and music! Discover The Woodlands outdoors with booths, free face painting, and popular kids’ activities from the Ecology Carnival.

Earth Day GreenUp Celebration:

When: Saturday, April 9, 2016
Time: 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Where: Northshore Park

Laugh while you learn about litter from Jack Golden, a.k.a. Les Litter, who will take the stage at noon performing A Litter Bit Goes a Long Way. Using juggling, song and audience participation, the eco-performer shares litter facts along with rewarding and important ways to help eliminate litter.

Event volunteers will receive an event T-shirt, while supplies last, as well as free pizza and drinks. The general public will be able to purchase food items and beverages.
