Normal Trash Schedule on Labor Day

The Woodlands Township is notifying residents that all solid waste services in the community will occur as usual over the Labor Day holiday. Recycling and waste collection for residents who have a Monday collection service will be business as usual – so yes, you do need to take the trash out on Labor Day!

Waste Management will provide curbside pickup of trash, recycling and yard trimmings to all residents on their regularly scheduled service day, including Monday, September 5, 2016.

“As a safety reminder, if trash trucks cannot drive down a street, it is very likely that emergency vehicles will not be able to access homes either.” – John Geiger, manager of The Woodlands Township Environmental Services Department

Other Important Reminders for Residents:

  • Per the Holiday Collection Schedule, the only holiday that will affect residential trash and recycling collection this year (2016) will be Thanksgiving Day.
  • The Woodlands Covenants require that trash and recycling receptacles be removed from the curb by the end of the day of trash pickup.
