Join the Water-Wise Village Challenge

sdf-1

Did you know the average American uses 100 gallons of water per day at home? Unfortunately, demand is not sustainable and we are moving toward a future with unpredictable water availability.  In an effort to conserve water, residents of The Woodlands Township are once again encouraged to participate in the annual Water-Wise Village Challenge.

All residents of The Woodlands are invited to participate in the challenge by pledging to turn off irrigation systems from October 15, 2016, through April 15, 2017.

pledge-today
Township residents may make the pledge online  or in person at The Woodlands Township Environmental Services Department office, located at 8203 Millennium Forest Drive. By making your pledge, you can receive a sign for your yard acknowledging your conservation efforts and an additional gift for referring neighbors.

receive-a-gift
Township residents who make the pledge during the 3R Bazaar on November 12, 2016, at The Woodlands Township Environmental Services Department office will receive a special gift for signing the pledge at the event.

earn-money
Your participation, along with your neighbors, could mean your Village Association will be the winner in the competition to see which village has the most pledges. Each pledge, limited to one per household, will earn a contest point for the resident’s village. Top scoring villages will win scholarship money provided by sponsors of the program.
