untitled-design-1

Envision spring and discover techniques to grow a greener landscape from the ground up on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 9 a.m. to noon at the next Gardening 101: Beyond Basics seminar—Living Landscapes: Microbes to Pollinators.

Healthy landscapes are alive, from the microbes in soil to pollinators visiting plants! Two gardening experts, Scott Snodgrass with the Edible Group and Diana Foss with Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, will team up to provide a guide for increasing soil fertility and adding life to landscapes.

In the presentation, Life in the Soil: A Hidden World, Mr. Snodgrass will share how to get lawns, ornamental landscapes and edible gardens healthy the sustainable way by supporting natural biological cycles in soil.

Creating healthy, living landscapes is a trend that improves human health and benefits declining populations of bumble bees, honey bees, butterflies and other insect pollinators. Discover the allure and value of pollinators when Ms. Foss presents Gardening for Pollinators.
