Recycling Dilemma #1018 – Pickleballs & Tennis Balls

Did you know that you can recycle a pickleball? As the sport has risen in popularity, pickleballs have created their own recycling challenge, which specialty recyclers have been hard at work to solve. In fact, both tennis balls and pickleballs can still serve a purpose after they’ve lost that competitive bounce required for gameplay.

While tennis balls and pickleballs cannot go in curbside carts, they can be brought to local drop-off locations. The Woodlands Township offers convenient courtside recycling for both tennis balls and pickleballs. Simply find one of our large, labelled receptacles within the designated tennis or pickleball courts and drop them in. For those that play at private courts, The Recreation Center at Bear Branch Park serves as a drop center for both programs.
